FloGent, for firms that bill by the hour
Your timesheet fills itself in.
FloGent sees which project files each person works on and books the hours for them. Next morning they fix the few red blocks and the day is done. FloDrive is built in.
Free. Download it and use it.
How a day fills itself in
What you see on the screen
The numbers match the picture above. Nobody types hours in.
- 1
What your computer saw
The files and windows you had open, minute by minute. Only on your own computer.
- 2
Booked for you
Each stretch goes to the project whose folder the file sits in. No picking from a list.
- 3
Amber means a good guess
FloGent thinks it knows. One click accepts it, or accept every amber block at once.
- 4
Red is all that is left
The few minutes it could not place. Book them next morning and the day is done.
- 5
Hours per project
Added up as you go, so the owner sees the week without chasing anyone.
What you get
One app, three modules
Set up your projects once. TimeSheet, TaskPlanner and FloDrive all work from the same list.
Timesheets without the Friday guesswork
FloGent notes what each person works on every 30 seconds and turns it into booked hours per project.
- Hours in quarter-hour steps, per project
- Red blocks show what still needs booking
- Meetings from your calendar land in their own lane
- The owner gets hours per project and person every Friday
Who is doing what this week
Tasks hang off the same projects, so the planner is ready the day you start.
- Tasks per project and per person
- See planned hours next to booked hours
- New projects appear on their own
One office drive on every PC
The same drive letter and folders on every computer, files moving straight between your PCs, nothing passing through our servers.
- Permission is a tick per folder
- See who has a file open
- Everything FloDrive does
Why the suite is more than the parts
The drive knows your projects, so the timesheet does too
Every project is a folder on the drive. When someone opens a drawing in 2417, the hours go to 2417. Nobody picks a project from a list, and the planner sees the same projects.
- Hours booked from the files people actually work on, in quarter-hour steps.
- Meetings from Outlook or Teams booked to the meeting, in their own lane.
- What can't be worked out stays red until someone books it, so no hour slips away.
Getting started
Set up in about ten minutes
Every step comes with a suggested answer already filled in. Most people just click Next.
Download and install FloGent
The first time it opens it asks for your company name, your name and your email.
Point FloGent at your projects folder
It finds your projects, whether you file by client, by year or by project number.
Untick old projects
Every project found is ticked. Clear the closed ones.
Choose your non-billable bookings
Admin, Finance, Meetings, Training, Leave and more, from a ready list.
Invite your team
Type their email addresses. They install and sign in with that email, and their first timesheet is ready the next morning. Anyone who was not invited can ask to join, and the admin accepts.
Try it on your own projects
FloGent is free. Paid plans will only become available later, and there is no date for that.
